Purpose

The purpose of this site is to facilitate instruction of Mr. Lambert P. Famorca @ SLU - Baguio. The site may only be used for courses offered to students as part of the BSIT / BSCS / BSIS / BSIM / MIT / MS SME curriculum.

The policies defined in this Site Policy apply to all users of the My Virtual website and the services it offers. Users of this site agree to abide by all University policies and the Honor Code
Technical Requirements

Technical Requirements

Users are responsible for ensuring that they meet all technical requirements for accessing and using My Virtual effectively. These may include the required operating systems, compatible browsers, and required bandwidth.
Obtaining an Account

Obtaining an Account

Any student enrolled in a subject under Mr. Famorca may request a My Virtual account. Accounts are manually registered by the Course Administrator. Granting of additional access will be decided by the Course Administrator. Partner faculty members can be granted a My Virtual account upon proper request.
guest accounts

Guest Accounts

For site security reasons, no guest accounts or permissions are allowed. However, special guests may obtain access to a My Virtual course as a Visiting Account. The Visiting Account is able to view and monitor activities in a course. Kindly direct your request to the Head of the My Virtual Office.
User Privacy

User Privacy

Users MUST respect the privacy rights of other users of My Virtual. Users are urged to use discretion and caution in divulging personal information within My Virtual. Users are responsible for securing their passwords. To reset a password, users should contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@myvirtuallearning.org
Violations and Penalties

Violations and Penalties

Violations will be investigated by the Course Administrator. Depending on the seriousness, the account of the student/s will be suspended. Violations in any part of this policy and the honor code MUST be reported immediately to the Help Desk at support@myvirtuallearning.org.

Students need to be aware how My Virtual protects their privacy

My Virtual Learning recognizes its responsibilities under the Republic Act No. 10173 (Act),
Also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, with respect to the data it collects, records, organizes, updates, or uses from students. The personal data obtained from the university portal (ID number, first name, last name, email address, enrolled subject, schedule, IP address) are entered and stored within My Virtual's authorized information and communications system and will only be accessed by authorized personnel (Administrator, Managers, and Teachers). My Virtual instituted appropriate technical security measures to ensure the protection of the student's personal data.

This is how My Virtual uses your Basic Personal Data:

  • To uniquely identify you, and to supply your authenticated identity to My Virtual Learning Environment, access course materials and activities, and other services;

  • To communicate with you on matters regarding currently enrolled subjects in My Virtual;

  • To perform security/audit logging;

  • To support system administration, usage tracking, resolve problem determination, and support activities; and

  • To set secure cookies for an authenticated user session.

How My Virtual protects your data

Basic Personal Data is protected in these ways:

  • My Virtual uses secure communications and storage to protect personal data from unauthorized access or disclosure.

How long do we keep your data?

My Virtual will keep Basic Personal Data while you have an active My Virtual account. Inactive accounts will be notified and will be suspended. However, security or audit logs or support records are retained for those purposes.

My Virtual shall not disclose a student's personal information without his/her consent and shall retain this information over a period of 2 Academic Years for the effective implementation and management of courses in My Virtual.
